All of the flowers you mentioned will be difficult to get. Not impossible, but very difficult and very expensive! I would advise against getting calla lilies because they hold up very poorly. They are delicate flowers that tend to turn brown at the tips half way through the ceremony (see it happen many times!). If you must have callas, then get the mini callas because they hold up MUCH better.
If you talk to your florist they can suggest some other ideas. Here are some of my own suggestions for some really beautiful alternatives.
Lisianthus
Sweet pea
Larkspur (in pale pink)
Belladonna Delphinium (in light blue)
Rubrum or Stargazer Lilies
Spray Roses
Queen Anne's Lace (creates a very elegant display)
Freesia
Ranunculus (in white)
Stephanotis
What flowers are easier to get for a wedding in september,, how about calla lillies, tullips , and orchids?
All of these are hard to get in September. Orchids and calla lilies are also more expensive. Have you ever considered to go with silk flowers. Even these you will have to buy in the spring, as stores stock with what is in season., but silk would be less expensive and there is some beautiful flowers out there now. Hope this helps.
Reply:All of these flowers are available year round but cost will be a factor. It also depends where you live. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we can get all types quite easily. Whereas in the midwest and the north east it can be very expensive. Just a suggestion, think about using the very very real looking silks that are available now. Your florist has more freedom to create something amazing and you will have memento to keep after all the hoopla has been and gone. Mine was turned into a wall decoration and it honestly looks real. The florist even "misted" it. You can also look at a mixture of both in order to have the beautiful scents of real flowers. The presentation lasts longer.
Reply:Good luck finding calla lillies and tulips in September. Oh, you could, but they would cost a fortune! Orchids are available year-round, however, they too, are expensive. It depends on what you're willing to spend. Whoever you choose to do your flowers should be able to suggest what's available.
