Using silk flowers for wedding?

Getting married in December 08, using silk flowers. Can I go ahead and buy my flowers now or should I wait?

Using silk flowers for wedding?
You can buy them now if you like but I was reading through the responses and though I agree with keeping them out of direct sunlight you should store them in vases to keep the flowers upright...if you store them in boxes, one side will start to be crushed and flattened and it will effect the look of the flowers. They do make a spray for silk flowers to clean them, I saw it in a magazine yesterday called officescrapesdirect.com it's called Silk flower and plant cleaner...it's $9 per can...you spray it on the flowers and let it dry and when it dries they look new...
Reply:If you know what you want, and know you wont change your mind..Go for it!
Reply:I would go ahead and buy them. I went back and fourth on it and then a couple of weeks ago I had to just make the decision to go out and buy them (2 months before the wedding!). It might be a detail that gets pushed aside until the last minute, so definitely do it if you know what you want!
Reply:If you buy them now you should store them in a box so they don't get dusty or smashed.
Reply:You can buy them now. Keep them in a bag or box so they dont get dusty. If they do get dusty, put them in a plastic bag with salt and shake -- the salt will pull the dust off, and you can tap the flowers lightly to remove excess salt.
Reply:well since theyre silk it doesnt matter when you buy them theyre gonna be the same since theyre not real.
Reply:If you're using silk flowers, you can buy them whenever you want. That's the one advantage to silk flowers, they don't spoil. Go for it.
Reply:Order them now just to be sure that they have them...
Reply:id wait deceber 08 is a in like 9 months i think u dhould wait awhile
Reply:just check with the place you buy them from that they won't discolour.

Reply:If you buy them now you might get a great deal on flowers that would be in season in Dec.!!!

Try Garden Ridge

There is nothing wrong with buying them now, just keep in mind that you will have to store them for 10 months.
Reply:I don't see why not
Reply:if they are silk, buy them now, but one thing you need to keep in mind is that you may CHANGE your mind about the types of flowers you want.

Good Luck!
Reply:I would go ahead and buy them now if you are sure of what you want. You could even start making your bouquets and/or centerpieces, whatever you are using them for. I would just keep them out of direct sunlight and dusty areas. Store them in a rubbermaid bin or something like that to keep from fading and getting dusty.
