My wedding colors are claret (deep red) and ivory. i am getting married in september. flowers?

I think that it would be cool to have a variety of flowers all in the claret color. Needs to be fairly inexpensive.

Carnations would look nice. And you could add in some daisies for a little white. Almost any flower will go with carnations and daisies, so if you went with that, you'd be ok.
Reply:they have deep red calla lilies

ivory freesia

and baptisia is a silvery green leaves for greenery
Reply:Might be cool, tho might be too dark

Reply:Dark red roses
Reply:omg! that's mine too!!! i got some great silk gerber daisies from michaels. the entire floral cost for the wedding was less than $40.

also, we're using lots of stuff from the outdoors since it's fall. huge money saver. pinecones, leaves, green tree branches (cedar, balsam, etc.)
Reply:Keep an eye out at Hobby Lobby for when their flowers go on sale for 50% off. It happens all the time and you still have a while to go. If you wanted real flowers try the roses that are dark red with stripes of lighter red in them. They are my fav. Good luck!!!

Do a Google search of red wedding bouquets and you'll find a ton of beautiful pictures
Reply:what about tulips?
Reply:I totally recommend calla Lillie's. I had all Calla's and had some red berries in them too. My wedding was in October though. For the boutonniere we only did the berries because my husband is so allergic to flowers.
Reply:I don't have a photo handy, but have seen white and red flowers (roses). What about claret and ivory? You could even tip the ivory with color. It would be lovely~
Reply:I LOVE that claret color!

Gerbera daisies and carnations are great and come in such a variety of colors. They are also pretty affordable. If you don't want to do a whole bouquet with these, use them for filler between more expensive roses or cala lillies.

Tulips are also available in alot of colors and more affordable - - ask if you can get the variegated kind that has red %26amp; white (just be sure the red is OK with your color scheme - it may not be deep enough to match the claret, but I think it would look nice).

I found a great resource to be theknot.com where they tell you about the flowers, a general price guide, and what colors the flower comes in.

I really fell in love with the deep red cala lillies. since I'm only doing flowers for the bouquets (not centerpieces) I'm considering splurging and just going with them. But I am undecided.
