In a wedding ceremony, can the ring bearer and flower girl walk down the aisle before the bridesmaides?

Have you seen a wedding where the flower girl and/or ring bearer walked down the aisle before the bridesmaides? I am just wondering if this is a reasonable order or if it is standard that the ring bearer and flower girl walk down just before the bride.

Thanks

I have been to a wedding where the flower girl and ring bearer were the first to walk down the aisle. It was cute but the kids were alone once they reached the front and had no idea what to do.
Reply:they can walk in any order you like...but traditionally, the flower girl is meant to lay flowers down for you (the bride) to walk on...not the bridesmaids. it's also easiest for them to see people to walk towards and you the bride can tell them exactly what to do right before you walk.
Reply:The way i see it, its your wedding and its all in how you invision it. If you want the flower girl and ring bearer to walk down before the bridesmaids, then let them.

It is customary to have them walk down right before the bride because the flowers are supposed to be for the bride. But its your wedding and you should do what makes you happy!
Reply:If they can walk without the bridesmaids holding their hand then it is case of whatever you want!
Reply:I've only seen them walk down before the bride.. I think it's better that way not only because it's tradition but I don't think they'll be as scared.. They'll see familiar faces ahead..
Reply:the whole purpose of the flowergirl is to drop the petals for the bride to step on, but if you want them to walk down the aisle first, go for it. It's your wedding. Just make sure you tell the kids what they are supposed to do when they get down to the front of the church.
Reply:in all the weddings Ive seen, they walk down before the bridesmaids
Reply:We had ours walk right before me. This way thy were able to see where the other "big" people walked and how they did it. That way all we had to say was "follow them".
