My wedding is 6 weeks away and I still do not have my flowers. My colors are sage and baby pink, with a hint of yellow. What types of flowers should I use to have a bouquet that is suttle, yet very elegant? Thanks so much for all your opinions and answers!!!
PS. I am only having a bouquet for me and I need a bout. idea for the hubby....thanks!!
To all of you green thumbs out there....I need wedding flower advice!?
my wedding my colors were Sage, and lavender, I used Jade roses, to go with the Sage, as for baby pink i would use hydrangeas, there is a baby pink one that is so pretty, another you could use is pink peony's, they are vary romantic. as for the hubby you can use a jade rose with baby breath, and yellow ribbon, or you could use a white rose with sage ribbon.
Reply:Baby pink roses, mixed with silver falls dichondra, and blushing bride hydrangea would be gorgeous.
Reply:Well for pale pink, I would go with fairy or sweetheart roses, but just a few, so they do not over power. Also, astromaria is a very light and elegant flower that comes in various shades of pink and many varieties have a bit of yellow in them. Have you thought about using ivy? It is darker in color than sage, but is very elegant when trailing from the main bouquet. Hope that helps and congratulations and many happy wishes to you!
Reply:The particular flower you choose depends on your style. Flowers for a country or garden wedding will look different than a more formal bouquet, but here are some suggestions. Freesias, roses, and gerbera daisies can be nice and come in a variety of colors. Alstromeria is also a dusty shade of pink with a touch of yellow. Stargazer lillies are pink with a touch of yellow as well. Pink calla lillies would look nice and make an elegant statement as would pink and green hydrangeas together.
Alstromeria is easy to make into a buttonaire, so are freesia and miniature roses, for hydrange you can use a portion of the entire flower. For the others you can use a matching rose or other flower. Congratulations and good luck!
