You can pick just about anything you want these days--depending on your budget.
If you are on a rather tight budget definitely consider flowers that are in season that time of year. Otherwise the skies the limit.
Another idea is to use dried items (which are usually cheaper) for bulk and shape and then add a few more expensive stems for a fresh look.
Alternately, instead of flowers, why not try something outrageous like battery operated strings of lights with ribbon and tulle wrapped around them? Or bunches of sparkly crystals on wire that you can wrap into a shapes---sure to make a statement.
Remember, unless you are going for a very traditional look, flowers are NOT required.
Good luck and send us pictures!

orchids
Reply:yellow jessamine
Reply:The ones that make your day special!! It's your day so it's your choice!! Don't let someone else make a choice for your special day!!
Reply:Don't know but I need the points
Reply:Lily's, Freesia, Orchids, Daisy's, stock, babies breath, gardenias are all August bloom flowers. Also in SC roses are always in bloom. (try lighter colors like pink, white, yellow.
Have a lovely wedding!
Reply:For bouquet or decoration?
I think it kinda depends on your wedding colors and whether it is day or evening, casual or formal, etc.
But I've seen Easter Lilies (or maybe they are called Cala Lilies) used a lot and they are beautiful or white roses.
Reply:You need the most special flowers ever.. one's that symbolise love... how about lilies or roses? or maybe something different and unique
Reply:A Wedding in SC in August??? YOU NEED GARDENIAS!! How pretty would that be, and it wold smell WONDERFUL! However, you need to pick what you love the most because looking back if you go with the "popular" vote I bet you'll regret it. Congrats and good luck!!!!!!!
