For our wedding, in lieu of flowers, we made donations, the guests are so upset that they won't speak to us?

My husband and I love our cat dearly as everyone who attended our wedding knows ... so instead of favors we put cards on the table saying in lieu of flowers, we have put money aside in your name to have our cat cloned.



Most guests were in an uproar at the wedding, but I thought it would pass and they would get over it.



I think they may be upset because they have a pretty good idea that we are going to put the money from the wedding towards cloning our cat.



But it is our money, and we should be able to do what we want with it, right? I'm really hurt that most people won't even talk to us!



What is your opinon? I think it's quite debatable.

I'm not sure if you are serious or not, but others seem to think you are. I am not aware of any pet cloning programs right now, so this is why I have my suspicions. That being said...



As other people stated, party favors are for the guests. Some may have been upset because they believe cloning is wrong; that you are playing God. So this may have personally upset some of your guests.



You should have saved the money for any children you might have, because they need to go to college. I hope you have some, and shake this silly infatuation with your cat. The education and well being of any future children should take priority over your cat! Have the cat freeze dried when it dies, so it looks just like it is sleeping. This can be done, and it is a real service. You could keep cloning your cat forever, but you will never keep it's personality. Good luck!

Reply:I think you're nuts and I don't blame your guests for being upset. Cloning is morally wrong and there are plenty of cats out there that need good homes. You said that you made donations - donations are gifts of money given to a good cause. I'd hardly consider cloning your cat a good cause.
