Flowers for registry office wedding?

Hi can anyone give my ideas on what floweres i need for my wedding. It is a small affair in registry office with just two witnesses. Should i get a posy made up and do i need flowers for the witneses and if so what colour?

get a little posy for yourself. its only you and bridesmaids who traditionally carry flowers so if you don't have them don't worry (they also don't have to have them). usually the wedding party (important members) will wear a buttonholes - typically white or whatever colour scheme you've gone for. go to your local florist, they'll probably show you samples.
Reply:I went to a small wedding recently and the bride carried a beautiful, tightly presented posie of red roses which looked stunning.



It's not traditional for witnesses to carry flowers (as bridesmaids usually have that honour), but it is your big day so if you want them to carry flowers too, why not go for it?!

Reply:ehc 11 is right. Do what you want. I had a registry office wedding and carried a small bouquet of silk flowers and just had some buttonholes made up for everyone else
Reply:I had a flowing bouquet and another slightly smaller for the witness. I made them myself from silk flowers. Colours depends on what colour you are wearing. Just because it's a small affair in a registry office doesn't mean you don't deserve a nice bouquet. A silk one will allow you to keep it (stick it in a vase for a floral arrangement at home) for a keepsake.

Reply:Get a nice posy made up to compliment your husband to be's outfit. Maybe he is wearing a red tie? so get red flowers, and yes I would get button holes for the witnesses.

Go see a florist, they do weddings all the time, she will give you loads of advice
