December Wedding Flowers?

I'm having my wedding on 12/21/07 and my colors are apple red, and white. I figured I would have red %26amp; white roses, what are my other options?

December Wedding Flowers?
I was a Dec wedding too, the roses are the best option, there is just nothing like them at Christmas time. I would also suggest some holly (the florist can cut the prickers off) with some red berries on them (just be careful if there are kids in the wedding, you might want to forego the berries then because you wouldnt want a little one to eat one, God forbid), but the holly can be a beautiful filler, we also looked at having greenery that was like branches of a christmas tree, I cant remember what they are called, that looked very pretty too, but to me there was nothing as awesome as the roses with the holly.

Reply:The red and white roses are perfect...how 'bout using Holly Berries as the greenery...and they have the little red berries on them...this will be perfect for a holiday wedding and add something unique and whimsical! Orange blossoms would also be pretty to add as a filler in the bouquet if you need one...they are small white flowers that have a great aroma!
Reply:Carnations are always nice and they have a kind of cinnamon smell to them and they come in tons of colors
Reply:I saw a really pretty boquett that was red and white and between the flowers they had incorporated bundles of cranberries..that was really cute

Reply:my parents got married on 12/26/81 and i believe they used poinsettias as well as roses. white lilies would add beautiful accent too IMO
Reply:You could always incorporate some black somewhere as a nice accent color. As far as your flowers go, red and white seems the best option, I can't really imagine any other good colors, other than greenery. Possibly using green berries, that would look lovely.



So I suppose my answer is greens and blacks. Otherwise, any other color would stand out too much against your primary colors.

this may sound a little cliche..but maybe you should put mistletoe above the two of you as well. =)

Reply:White flowers would be pretty in December. But don't limit yourself. You can order just about any flower. Care just needs to be taken to not expose it to the cold. You could add in some holly berries or fir branches if you're into that. I personally like blue for December, but considering your other colors, that maybe wouldn't work. Lilies are always classic. White ones especially look nice.
