Me and my fiance are getting married In January. I would like to make my own bouquet from silk flowers. I think i want to use lillys but I cant seem to find any pictures to go by. I would like them to be Simple and elegant. We dontreally have a color theme since it will be just me and him, but he said he likes Blue if we incorperate a color. The only problem with that is we are going to dinner after and my dress for dinner is cream and black, so the blue would not match (I planed on taking them with me). Any suggestions on where to find nice pictures of lilly bouquets? And what to do about my Blue delima? Would Silver look better?

Reply:Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
A bouquet of lillies will be fine if you are going to do a "color." I would NOT do white as it will contrast with your cream colored dress. Silk calla lillies are NOT cheap! Look at this link:

My suggestion would be to use RED ROSES!! It would look so nice with your dress. You can buy arrangements already done up if you want...This link has some red roses:

OR...the link above (save-on-crafts) also has some you can buy.
Have you thought about REAL RED ROSES??? They would look so nice against your cream/black dress. If you live by a Walmart....they have beautiful roses! I buy them all the time and they are $10 for a dozen! There is one red rose at Walmart and they are a deep red with almost a slight black rim....I can't describe them...they are SO BEAUTIFUL! They are usually $14/dozen. It would be so easy for you to make up your own bouquet! Use Google to research how to do this. I found many sites with explanations and videos!
Whatever you choose...real, silk, lillies, or roses....yes, I would get a vase that would fit the arrangment and bring it with you as a table centerpiece for the dinner after!
Again, whatever you choose...I would NOT do a blue ribbon. I would stick with a cream colored ribbon to match your dress. You may be able to fine a cream/black ribbon. Go to Michael's, Hobby Lobby or Joann's if there is one by you.
If you are not stuck on making them yourself...and you DO want real flowers....why not go to a florist? Tell them what you want and get a quote. Also check out florists in a grocery store. Just because it is only the two of you...not a whole wedding party....it doesn't matter. They are willing to work with you! It's their business! Don't forget a single rose boutonniere for your groom.
Good luck and I hope you have a beautiful wedding!
Reply:HA! silver would look BAD! Blue would match perfect.
Reply:I would try white and silver, but if its real cold when yoru getting married and you want something cool you should try ice sculptures of flowers they are awesome.
Reply:I'd go for white calla lilies. Skip the blue and silver - white is classy. Check out this link.
