I'm doing my own wedding flowers. any suggestions?

I need ideas for floral arrangments and such and i dont know what flowers i want or like. can someone please tell me of a site or something where i can preview flowers and create my own bouquets and things of that nature/

Reply:WAL MART or HOBBY LOBBY you can even get your bridal bouquet at Wal Mart in the craft section, I bought everything I needed for my wedding there, except my dress, a custom made $3,000.00 Wedding dress, size 12....You don't have to go extravagant to have a wonderful wedding, it's not the flowers or anything materialistic that makes the wedding, but the ones you choose to share your day with, just have fun, and remember it's YOUR day, no one else's just yours and your groom's, you can have pinto beans, cornbread, fried taters, anything you want at your reception too. Where I come from, we just have a hee haw hoe down after the ceremony, and its one great big party. Anything can be perfect, if you just let it be...Good Luck on your wedding, and congratulations.

Reply:The best thing to do is go to your local florist and look at their books and see the flowers in their cooler. A web site is wonderful to get ideas, but to see the real thing is totally different. Colors change in pictures, and the flower that may be in that picture may not be available for you for your wedding day. I would also suggest to let someone else do it for you. You will have enough to worry about that day and your florist will and should make sure that it is not going to be the flowers. A good florist will help you design what look and feel you are after, florists are really nice people and very creative...just remember it is your day.
Reply:i have seen a lot of different things, when my brother in law got married they had the bridesmaids carry one single rose. that looked nice. when i got married we did fans with flowers in the middle. If you have a hobby lobby in your area they have a lot of cheap flowers.
