Good Flowers for a wedding?

Does anyone know some pretty flowers that would be really nice to have at a wedding ...in the bouquet and as table centers? I'm of course going to have roses since there my favorite flower. And the colors i'm looking for are pink flowers and some white one's. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I just love carnations. They are fairly long lived once they are cut, and the smell is just wonderful either on their own, or mixed with roses.

The delicate fragrance of freesia complements three types of white and pink roses in this splendid bouquet to carry. A touch of beauty for the bride.

Pink and Ivory roses with a hint of pink create a sensational centrepiece for the table in a heart shaped wreath - you could even add an heart shaped floral door wreath to welcome your guests to the reception.

Tiny glasses used as individual mini vases contain a sweet mini bouquet of a single Pink roses and Gypsophila.

Reply:Alstroemerias are perfect for weddings. They come in almost every color of the rainbow and very inexpensive.
Reply:There's a lot more to consider than simply the colors. What is your budget? When is your wedding being held? Whether the flowers you choose are in season can greatly affect the cost of your arrangements.

Try checking out http://www.theknot.com they have a great gallery where you can search bouquets and centerpiece arrangements by color to get some inspiration.
Reply:Color is not the only thing you need to consider. Price/budget is another. Another big question is what time of year is the wedding? Tulips are a spring flower, mums are an autumn flower, and it does make a difference. Sure, you can have pink and white tulip tulips or even pink and white mums (kind of), so the time of year is important. You can't get Lily of the Valley in October, for example.

Roses are roses, there are different kinds, of course, varying qualities, but you can generally get them year round.

Certain flowers do not hold up well after being cut and placed into bouquets, but are fine in centerpieces.

You need to talk to your florist. Visit at least three before you commit to one, get a contract. Be aware that sometimes the flower you think you will get on your wedding day may not be the exact one that is actually available. Florists will try to please you, but sometimes things happen.
Reply:eh..everyone has roses....but you could try tu-daisies, or just go to a really expensive flower shop and ask for their advice for the persons wedding.
